As Barrio Vintage enters its third year in business, the chic little boutique is making a move across Nuuanu Avenue.

Owners Jonathan Saupe and Bradley Rhea will soon take over the space currently occupied by designer Florencia Arias, in the Historic Marks Building at 1161 Nuuanu Avenue in Chinatown.

The doors of the new store will officially open with a  reception on Friday, August 8, at  5 p.m. Jonathan and Bradley promise to set aside a selection of never-before-seen vintage pieces just for the opening.

You can expect the same high quality, carefully curated collection of vintage finds but in a brighter, larger, prettier space.

Bradley has become a super sleuth when it comes to tracking down special vintage items. He travels widely across the Mainland for his unique, tasteful finds.

As for Florencia Arias, don’t panic. She’s still designing, but spending more time at home with her children.  You will be able to find her chic, comfortable, easy to wear pieces at The Butik on Kapiolani Blvd., Super Citizen in Kahala Mall, Silver Moon Emporium in Haleiwa, Mikinola in Koko Marina Shopping Center, Maya Bella in Kailua and online at FlorenciaArias.com. You’ll also find a list of Neighbor Island stockists on her website.

Thank goodness. I don’t know what I would do without Florencia’s beautiful and super-comfy pants. They are a travel staple of mine.

For the immediate future, however, she’ll be having her final blow out “Fire Sale” on Saturday, July 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s her last day in the space and the prices will be really, really low!
