A model from Lisa Perry’s fall 2014 show wears Essie’s “No Place Like Chrome.”

I must confess, my favorite take-aways from NYFW (New York Fashion Week) often originate in the back stages of the runway shows – and not on the runways.

I totally get that most of my readers simply will not be running out to buy what they see on the runways, or even to follow the trends originating there. The majority of my readers have their own individual personal styles and they know themselves well enough to NOT run after the latest trend. I salute you for that.

That said, one back stage inspiration I plan to pursue is a high-shine, silver nail look. It complements the bright colors and metallic fabrics that are looking so fresh now. And it’s neutral enough that you don’t feel like you must change your nail enamel to avoid clashing with your outfit.

Of particular note: Essie’s “No Place Like Chrome” nail enamel.  Love, love, love it!
