The look is found at a wide range of stores and price points.

While I love tracking trends as a fashion journalist, I do not follow them with my personal wardrobe choices. I have a pretty good idea of what works on me and what is fun to wear – and it’s seldom embodied in a trend. That said, I am thrilled to see – and I plan to adopt – the latest trend in sleeves: elbow length.

Blue Fish top

This sleeve length can work on every woman’s body. It nicely covers up the wobbly bits but shows off the forearms and is a great length to show off bracelets, bangles and cuffs.

Tori Richard employs the elbow length on a romper.

It’s nice to see local designers such as Tori Richard adopting the trend. Or should I say re-adopting, as this little romper is very retro indeed.

Ralph Lauren’s take on the trend

The versatile elbow length works well for dresses, blouses, T-shirts, even beach cover-ups. Try it on!

Hooray! It’s so nice to see fashion acknowledge all the
women out there of a certain age. Try as we might, we
are not all able to attain Michelle Obama’s arms, so I am thrilled to see this more flattering sleeve length.

I’m really enjoying your postings, Paula!
