Sedona‘s summer Gem and Jewelry Trunk Show and Sale is one of those events many women save up for all year. It will take place Saturday, July 21, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, July 22, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the ground level Ward Centre store.

Savvy owner Malia Johnson brings in special designers and wholesalers just for this two-day event. This year Dierdre Berg will be here. She’s a 25-year veteran of the industry who procures unique and collectible gemstones, minerals and jewelry that features semi-precious stones.

Sedona will also offer a special shipment recently procured at the renowned Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. It includes geodes, natural crystals, rare mineral specimens, Ammonite fossils, meteorites, unusual beads and stone carvings.

Johnson has sourced rare stones such as shungite and astrophylite from Russia, blue amber from Indonesia, fluorite and aboriginal dreamtime quartz from Australia. phenocite from Brazil, orpiment from Peru and star ruby from India.

Among the jewelry designers who will present their latest collections are Daisy Ho of Hong Kong, wearable stone sculpture by Kevin Lane Smith and nomadic knot jewelry by Isha of Bali.

A wide selection of sterling silver pieces set with unique stones such as phenacite, ajoite and columbite will be sold at dealer direct prices during the weekend only sale.

A bargain flat table will house hundreds of boxes of unusual rocks and mineral specimens for rock hounds of all ages starting at $1.

A portion of the proceeds from the weekend sale will be donated to Give It Fresh Today, a Hawaii produce donation project.
