The back is open, with a cute retro bow accent. The dress sells for $122.

I spotted this adorable cotton pique sundress (which reminds me of a style designed by Malia in the ’70s) while shopping at Therapy boutique in Kahala Mall.

It’s called the Dove dress and it’s designed by Judith March of Florida. I was happy to see Therapy supporting some local designers. I saw cute sundresses by Roberta Oaks, as well as tops, tunics and skirts by Katie Bodnyk of HI State of Mind.

Note to all those who have admired my HI State of Mind tunic and wanted to know where to find one: Katie as some hanging on the racks at Therapy.

It amazes me how quickly Tina Wary, the owner/buyer of Therapy, has caught on to retail. As a relative newbie, she just dives right in and goes with her gut, and her good taste, which seems to be the best way to buy for a local boutique. But, hey, it’s hard to trust your gut when you’re new in a complex business such as retail. Hats off to her!
