It’s always exciting when a local designer’s clothing gets into a national upscale department store chain.

Kauai native Libby DeSantis reports that her popular line, Indah, is now at Nordstrom. For summer 2011 expect to find cover-ups, rompers, mini and maxi dresses, separates and swimwear. On Bali, where she manufactures the line, she has been experimenting with new surface design techniques as well, including salt printing, mirage tie-dye, heart tie-dye and Indonesian Krawang lace. Prices are $81 – $94.
