Life-size prints at ARTS at Marks.

There’s a terrific show on now through April 6 at the ARTS at Marks. It’s the result of months of collaboration among print makers, headlined by Sergio Garzon.

In order to achieve prints this big, a steam roller is required. much of the printing was done on Hotel street on First Friday. It’s quite a feat of artistry and engineering to make the plates and get them printed without damaging them.

It’s interesting to see the plates and the final print. It’s a measure of how much work it takes.

If you get lucky, you might find a print maker at work who can show you the entire process. We weren’t so lucky.

The printer’s work table.

If you’ve ever been interested in how prints are made, try to get down to ARTS at Marks before April 6.
