Macy’s just announced a collaboration with fashion icon, designer and television star, Nicole Richie for a special collection to be carried exclusively this fall. Launching in September in 100 Macy’s stores, including Ala Moana, and on macys.com, the collection will be a continuation of the designer capsule series for the retailer’s contemporary fashion Impulse department. “Nicole Richie for Impulse only at Macy’s” will feature exclusive, limited-edition apparel inspired by Richie’s trendsetting personal style, including ’70s-inspired silhouettes, prints and fabrications. Richie’s designs for Macy’s will infuse fluid garments with bohemian glamour, offering fashion-forward looks at an affordable price.

“Macy’s is the epitome of American fashion,” said Nicole Richie in a release from Macy’s. “Their iconic stamp on the world of retail has not only touched the lives of consumers, but has also become a significant part of pop culture. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to work with Macy’s and create a collection that channels the individual artist in all of us.”

The Nicole Richie capsule collection will pay homage to her lux bohemian style with looks that transition day to night. From maxis and asymmetrical skirts to cropped tops and fitted jackets, this collection offers a well-rounded assortment of silhouettes that play to many moods. Retro prints take center stage in the form of bold peacock kaleidoscopes, feathers and deco chevrons, while matte satin, velvet and chiffon fabrications add sophistication. Jewel tones anchor the color palette, while complementary gold and imperial blue hues create pops of color throughout. Ranging in price from approximately $49 – $149, the collection works for the budget-conscious woman who is looking for styles that are individualistic and sophisticated.
