For the flower child in each of us…..

It seems as if every time I stop in at Riches Kahala I discover a new designer.

For quite a few years most of the items in Riches came from New York. Now there’s an eclectic combo of East and West Coast. Today I found these utterly charming pendants and earrings by Samantha, an up-and-coming Los Angeles designer.

Owner/buyer Lo Kaimuloa put little silk blossoms in the tiny “vases” but they can also hold water so you can tuck your favorite live flower inside, whether it’s an orchid from Tutu’s yard, a plumeria from your neighbor’s tree or a daisy from the florist.

Change the flower to coordinate with your outfit.

Some pieces also have little pukas on the bottom where you can hang some special beads or cystals.

These earrings have little pukas on the tips where you can put little chains with beads or crystals.

They come in several sizes with a choice of polished or brushed silver or gold plate. She also has just one in a chic, beautiful matte black but you might have to fight me for it. Prices range from $72 to $180.

Samantha pendants and earrings are a great family or friend gift because they make continuous giving so easy. Just bring a little blossom each time you see the recipient.

There's such power in a single flower, a delight to all the senses.

I love this collection. It’s so delicate and organic. Definitely a new way to wear a flower and express aloha.
